The new £459.99 VHF 210i radio from Garmin claims to enhance communication between you and other superyachts in your area. It features the NMEA 2000® network and standard Class D Digital Selective Calling (DSC) functionality, allowing distress calling and direct calling with user-programmed MMSI. It also offers 25 W transmit power and comes pre-programmed with international marine channels.
The GHS 11i handset addition allows full function of the VHF 210i radio from a remote location. Including the wired handset, 10 metre deck cable, mic hanger, mounting hardware and documentation, the product will set you back an extra £279.99.
